The inspiration for this piece is
the tropical foliage and palm frond weaving
The Flowers at the front and the back of the design
represent a lei (garland)

The bead weaving technique is primarily peyote using cylindrical delica seed beads.
The design incorporates some open weave using
 crystal beads as well
